It Starts with A Story

Bridge Builders Mentorship was co-founded based on experiences and histories of educational inequities within the Ontario secondary and post-secondary systems.

Kian, one of BBM’s co-founders, experienced this inequity first hand. He immigrated to Canada, and was immediately thrown into the education system, forced to quickly learn how everything works. He did not have a lot of help, and he wished he did. This wish was built into a passion, and this passion manifested as co-founding Bridge Builders Mentorship!

Ante, the other BBM co-founder, saw this inequity through second hand experiences. Most of his friends in high school were recent immigrants to Canada, and he continuously saw and felt their difficulties with the education system. Determined to help, he did his best to support them in navigating the post-secondary world. In doing so, he discovered a passion for educational mentorship and justice - this passion was later applied to co-founding Bridge-Builders Mentorship!
